how long does it take to replace a clutch kit on a 2003 for focus? also an estimate on the cost of labor?

i needed an estimate how long it would take to replace a clutch on a 2003 ford focus 2.0 D.O.H.C. and also an estimate on the price... welll i left it overnight and i decided to go to the shop this morning to check the fluid, but the guy told me he had checked the fluid and it was the clutch bla bla bla so all i need to know is how long it take to replace the clutch, because he told me he would have it by this afternoon. it seems too fast and maybe he's just pulling my leg, he is charging me about $500 total, which seems kinda cheep, other places where around $700.00
