- Yes you can use a performance clutch on a stock flywheel, wont hurt performance. When looking for a street car i recomend not going any higher than a stage 2. Stage 1 has a different friction disc that will last longer and stage 2 has the same disc and a higher clamping force pressure plate. 3 is usually for race applications and usually start using ceramic discs and pressure plates rated to hold 300ft/lbs torque, the average driver will not be happy driving it for daily use. The kits come with the pressure plate, friction disc, pilot bearing, throw out bearing and alignment tool. you just have to buy a flywheel or resurface your old flywheel might be cheaper if you find a machine shop near you. there are a few good manufactures that are known to make good kits. http://www.advancedclutch.com/ http://www.clutchmasters.com/ http://www.specclutch.com/ good luck.
