why does the throwout bearing still make noise when i just installed a new clutch kit?
prior to installing the new clutch kit the old throwout bearing was making a lot of noise when my foot was released off the clutch. i installed the new clutch kit a few days ago and shortly thereafter the sound came back but not as loud. is it suppose to do that? i got the flywheel resurface and what does it mean to break in the new clutch?

- we call it the thrust bearing. did you change the bearing as well as the clutch plate and pressure plate? breaking in the clutch means giving it some use until it is settled properly but it sounds like the thrust bearing needs replacing to me.
- Sounds like it is out of adjustment or you have some serious wear issues with the clutch fork. I'm hoping the bearing was replaced as well. Let me guess this is a 96-00' mustang:)
