Has anyone ever heard of a Dee Clutch kit for a Jeep Wrangler?
My Jeep has been acting up so I took it in this morning to get a diagnostic on the engine, where I was informed that I would need a new Dee clutch kit and flywheel, with the total of everything being $1500.00. I have been looking up clutch kits online, but I have not been able to find any Dee kits yet, although clutch kits I'm finding for my Wrangler tend to be in the $130 range. Is anyone familar with the Dee kits and does the $1500 sound too steep or about right?

- $1500 sounds steep to me. How old is the Jeep as that can affect price. That said... De-clutching is a technique that used to be used on old gear boxes that did not have synchoniser gears in them. They could just be trying it on if you don't know much about vehicle mechanics. You say the Jeep was acting up. What were the symptoms? It might not even be clutch related.
