Is it cheaper to buy a car that's normal and mod it yourself or buy already modded car? How much money is a typical sport body kit for a car? How much money does it require to fix a broken transmission in a car? What type of still decent used car would $2000 get?

1. Cars that are original bring the most money. Any sort of modification almost always drops the value of the car. So if you want one that is modified then find one that is already modified. Check with Pep Boys, Kragen Auto or Auto Zone about the price of a body kit. It costs from $500 to $1,500 to rebuild an automatic transmission. If you have an older Japanese or Korean car sometimes you can buy a used one imported from Japan or Korea. You won't buy much today for $2,000, maybe a domestic car 2000 or older.
