does adding a body kit to a normal car make it a sports car?
For Example taking a Chevy Malibu (a non-sports car) and adding a body kit (front, rear and spoilers). or taking a wagon and adding a body kit does this classify a normal car as a sports car in terms of insurance also not changing the engine or anything just looks.

- Yep, I added one to my Volvo station wagon and the guys were just nuts for my car and hot for me.
- No, the type of engine is what makes it a sports car.
- does buying a Mercedes hood ornament make your Yugo a German luxury car?
- ya, pick the right stuff and u got it
- it doesny make it a sports car because the engine has not been modified in any way but adding things to your car lie spoilers etc can help performance. Basicly your jst making it look better if your doing exterior work. Hope i helped :D
- no if you put a body kit on a suv dose it make it a sports car i dont think so
- ha nope that makes it a ricer
- No. Generally a sports car is exclusively a two door and two seat (or possibly a 2+2) car with precise handling. A Chevy Malibu is a five seat, four door car and is not in any way a sports car irrespective of what you do to it. You can't put wings on a cat and call it a bird.
- No How can it make it a sports car. It does not improve performance. Insurance gets higher with high performance modifications like turbochargers or superchargers. And even those do not mean it is a sports car.
- Absolutely not. In fact, putting a body kit on it might make it even further from a sports car.
