Pontiac Body Kits

First Car Help.?

Alright, so the story is, me and my Dad went halves in to a 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer. Now it's a nice car, with a body kit, a muffler, and it's been lowered, however I am realizing that it is too low to perform simple tasks, and it had become quite a hassle. I am close to in love with early 1980-era Pontiac Firebirds and Chevrolet Camaros, however, these are very rare in Australia, and the ones I do find, are already restored thus making them extremely expensive. I was wondering if anyone knew of a car of a similar body style/shape that would be a bit cheaper for me? Once again it is a first car, and I realize that it will probably get damaged at some point, but I am not really interested in the whole Japanese tuner scene. Just in case it didn't come across properly up there, I live in Australia.
