how do i properly clean my new carbon fiber hood and preserve it longer? I just put on my carbon fiber hood on my 05 Celica and now im worried because i've seen too many cars with their carbon fiber hoods either discolored or faded. Is there a product to help clean it or help maintain it longer. Im going to the car wash this weekend and wash my car by hand all the time, then dry it and detail it as much as possible. Best color for a car with carbon fiber hood and spoiler? Well I want to completely fill my car out with just one color, this includes the body and headlight/taillights. The rims I have not decided on. I want it to where you couldn't tell where the headlights start, it will be like camouflaged :) I was thinking black would be the best way to do this... but black also shows a lot of dirt, and seeing how this is my only car, I will be driving it around all the time. mitsubishi 3000 gt sl w/ goodies? I am trying to find out what my car is worth if I sell it on the private market. It is a 1991 sl w/ a rebuilt engine, original engine had 185,000 miles. It has a veilside bodykit w/ the carbon fiber spoiler, custom seat brackets welded onto the frame, which tenzo racing seats sit it. 5 point harness, short shifter, ACT stage 3 clutch, RPS steel flywheel, HI-flo cat converter, HKS turbo exhaust (very throaty, it roars!!!), 5 zigen 18" rims with hankook low pro tires, slotted and dimpled rotors, steel brake lines, k& N open air filter, pioneer supreme sound system. It needs new paint job, weather beaten from sitting on beach, Valve cover gasket (leaking antifreeze), small hairline crack across windshield, tune-up, new carpeting, Thanks for the responses. I'll have to post some pix. Its the valve cover gasket. The Heads are brand new done at a machine shop that builds parts for military jets. I think when the mechanic didnt sit the gasket in place right or something. Car runs extremely strong. It has a littlr hiccup down low (probably the tune up) but after that watch out. Impressive for a 1991 NA. I put to much work into it to let it go for under 4,500. Just putting my feelers out. After the minor repairs listed, last thing I'll do is SC it with a knights supercharger kit and call it a day.

It is (in my opinion) one of the most beautiful cars in the world. It looks like nothing else on the road with that amazing carbon fiber spoiler and that amazing stock paint job. It is as fast and lightweight as a race-car and street-legal. I have seen every kind of Porsche on the road apart from the Carrera GT, and the 911 GT3 RS. it is very unpractical for an every day car but I doubt if i had this, it would be my only car. There's not many option i would put on this car as it's already stripped down. I would put racing seat belts in and change the doors to Butterfly doors. I would put flashing neon on the bottom (very lame i know, but imagine for a second pulling up to a club with red neon lights flashing) and an illegal race exhaust loud enough to set off car alarms. That's about it. It'll probably end up costing 125-130k.

Hot and Original 1/4 Mile Racing Question? OK so me and my freind billy both race our SCION TC's at the track (and on the street, underground style) we already know our SCION TC's are fast (COLD AIR INTAKE, EXHAUST and I have spoiler made of some stuff called CARBON FIBER, it is light weight racing material) So we have the speed aspect down. Now we want to get every thing perfect to make our machines run HARD and FAST as possible. I even went as far as to have the idea to take my spare tire out of the trunk... so yea im quite a die-hard racer... my GF thinks im crazy, she calls me "Johnnny Speeeed" he he, she's a lil cutie. Spoiler corrosion? Paint job? New spoiler? My black car recently started to get spots of grey corrosion on the spoiler . It's pretty noticeable although it's very small scale at the moment. According to other Mitsubishi owners, this is quite common and was a defect with the carbon fiber on the cars. My car is well past its warranty. How much is a paint job? Or should I get a new one? Is this a good price for my 95 prelude? i'm asking 6500 for it, it has all this done to it it's a v-tech 5 speed manual that has tons and tons of mods, the motor was rebuilt less than 15,000 miles ago, it has stage2 skunk2 cams and skunk2 stage2 valves and valve springs as well as a rebuilt head. The motor has a full ram aem cold air intake,aem pressure regulator,msd ignition and 2.0 blaster pack,dc header with full apexi exhaust and muffler,dc sway bar,dc short throw shifter, carbon fiber interior,leather seats,a extreme blitz stage 2 spoiler with removable center bar all fiber glass, custom green altezza tail lights. and a sun roof the motor only is worth around 3k i got the car pretty cheap, but i see them on ebay and the like with less done for more $$.

I want to turbo charge my 97 Honda NSX but cant find the proper turbo kit for my car, I want a Turbo kit which wont require changing much of the engine internals and at the same time take the initial bhp up from 290 to anywhere between 350 to 400 bhp, the car has had some weight reduction with a carbon fiber hood and the rear engine cover and the whole body kit including the bumper and the sides excluding the spoiler. what brands turbo's work well on Honda cars, your help will be more then appriciated.

Why are Honda's "The Ultimate Ricer"? I go to school and take auto repair. I am not new to cars, and know what makes a car fast and what makes it........ stupid. If you drive a honda, fine, I don't care. Do what you want, it makes no difference to me. But why does every young male owner of a used honda have to make it "fast" (or so they think) by adding a fart can exhaust, carbon fiber hood, and retarded spoiler and body kit? I see these cars everyday, don't think I'm just making this up. And I know you see it too. Maybe you own one. These cars are not fast, intake and exhaust do relatively nothing to help your car's performance. They add a few horses, and make the car sound different. In the case of civics, they sound like shit most of the time. What I want to know is, why do these people even bother? You don't have a ton of money, I understand, I'm there too. But cheap aftermarket parts and a plethora of dumb accessories only make your car look cheaper than it is, and it brings out your ignorance in the automotive field.

Question regarding custom ordered Scion tC with optional features..? I am looking to get a 2009 Scion tC and there are numerous optional features I am planning to have added on. To be more detailed: -Pedestal spoiler -Sport muffler -Blue LED floor illumination -Illuminated door sill enhancements -Ground effects body kit -Fog lights -Carbon fiber dashboard applique -and maybe the sport steering wheel My question is, does anyone happen to know how long it usually takes for the car to come in when you custom order it with added features?
