Pontiac Cars? What do you think about the new and future Pontiac cars. They claim they are going up against BMW. The Grand Prix is almost extinct and will be replaced by the G8. GTO is gone. What up with Pontiac?

Now that GM is getting rid of the Pontiac line, are their cars still valuable? I had a family member trade in a Pontiac Vibe because they felt this car would no longer be a valuable trade-in once GM stops the Pontiac line. They had their car for about two and a half years. It was a brand new car and they traded it in because of what GM is about to do. Will their Pontiac line still be valuable even though they're going to stop making Pontiac cars?

Is the price of existing Pontiac cars going up or down? Since the Pontiac brand is no longer going to be sold, are the prices of the cars going to go up or down, and by how much? I'm looking into getting a Pontiac Vibe and if possible I'd like to use this as leverage to lower the price.

Recalls on Pontiac Cars? I recently bought a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix LE 4 door as a "winter rat" as the winters in my area can get quite bad and did not want to get into an accident with my other car. Yesterday morning I woke up to find the front of the frame and the engine sitting on the ground on my way to college. My fiancee is a mechanic and had it towed to the garage he works at to try to find what went wrong. We found out alright. there was a recall on the assembly of this car, so we sent it to a local Pontiac dealer so that the problem could be fixed by professional Pontiac mechanics and have Pontiac pick up the tab because of the recall and warranty on labor. They called us back later that day and said they refused to work on the car because the assembly was not something they considered worthy of thier time! I did some research and have since found out ther are 9 recalls total on the car! What should I do?! It is way to expensive of a repair for me to afford!

Anyone else problems with Pontiac Cars? So im just wondering if anyone else has had as many problems as I have with thier pontiac car.. Both my brother and I have a pontiac and within the same week probably about 2 days apart one of our cylinders blew in botht he cars. The same exact one. What are the odds.. But what do you guys, experts and casual consumers, think I should get? It's tough, and I really like both cars and I know that they are both awesome choices. I am going to test drive them both tomorrow.
