Which clutch should i get for my 1991 nissan 240sx? I have a 91 240sx super hicas and lately ive been noticing my clutch has been bad and i know its going to give out soon so im looking for a new clutch. I have a Exhaust system as of now and plan to get a short shifter, intake, headers, and maybe other small mods. What stage clutch should i get and which clutches are good? Is Exedy, XTD, Zoom, ACT and Spec are good clutches? Should i get a clutch kit of Ebay for about $100? What is everything i should buy and which flywheel i should go with. So I have a 1990 Audi Coupe` Quattro, the clutch needs to be replaced...HELP!? I recently bought a 1990 Coupe` Quattro 2.3L 5cyl DOHC 20v [Audi 7a engine]. I got lucky found a decent one at a decent price. The price initially caused concern, I was expecting a full rebuild. Lucky me, everything works 100%. I DID notice on my way home the clutch was slipping. I bought a clutch kit from Spec and intended to do the work myself, [as I have done with all my previous cars]. My problem is; I cannot find any documentation on my car besides Audi shop manuals and Bentley Manuals, which I do not have the money for. Is there another Audi that would have a similar clutch install that I could find a Haynes/Chilton Manual in print for? or an Online guide? or just Help? I have a fair amount of mechanic experience, I am a certified BMW tech. I also have done a great deal of maintenance and repair for my rally team as well as several complete car rebuilds and restorations and 10+ engine rebuilds. My concern is attention to detail and being clear on the job. I am also 100% sure it is a clutch failure in lieu of the symptoms.
Help with picking a good clutch kit? The clutch on my 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse GT V6 M/T is starting to go out and i'm unsure as to what brand i should go with. I have some money to work with so i don't want to get a cheap brand i'll regret later, but i don't exactly have enough to get an expensive one such as ACT clutch kits. I've been told Exedy is almost like putting stock back on and some say good things about SPEC. I need to get one soon so any advice that could point me toward some good brands would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! The Exedy doesn't seem bad. I know the minimum i wanted to spend for the clutch kit was $250 just to make sure i wasn't getting a bad one. I'm really not running alot of power to the car, just a borla cat back exhaust, AEM V2 intake, and some decent spark plugs and wires. I really wanted to pay off the car before i added more to it, but hell if i'm gonne replace the clutch I might as well go with a nice stage one kit. I noticed a Beck Arnley for just a tad more i think $320 maybe and i found a spec for $341. I'm not saying sach and exedy are bad cause a little cheaper but i wouldn't mind payin 350 for a good clutch kit. http://www.redlinemotive.com/part-number/spec-clutch/sm581.asp i think i'm gonna go with this part. both the red line motive and spec web site said this part number for my car but they aren't saying the the measurement of it. what is the best clutch for a 97 honda cr125r? planning on doin some track racing with my cr125r has big bore wieco piston kit fmf fatty exhast over sized rear sprocket and many other extras.....scotched my last clutch plate by falling over they were all ready goin out what is the best to use this time around?? also when you put in oil do you fill till it runs out of the screw on the side of the motor or manufactures specs?????
I NEED help finding a GOOD clutch for my Honda Civic? My Honda is a 1996 Civic LS. The car is German Specs, or European. I really want to get some help with a knowledgeable person about what type and where to buy the BEST clutch. I don't car for speed so much, just a very good/reliable clutch. Most clutches I hear about are refurbished. Can anyone point me to a clutch which is maybe new and handles perfectly with this auto? My car is a 1996 Honda Civic LS, 1.6 Liter engine. Yes, it is an LS version which is comparable to either a DX/LX/EX..??i also dont know this answer either..maybe one of you guys do:) Please help me save my time and any future clutch cost because I want something which will last and maybe will run better with the Civic. integra or sentra spec v. should i trade my integra? hi. i basically just need opinions and or cold hard facts! ok so i have a 1998 integra ls 5 spd. love this car to death.. but it has 119,000 miles on it.. cold air intake. headers full catback exhaust. performance spark plugs and wires. chipped ecu grounding kit jdm short shifter. type r wing , type r lip kit. pretty much the works.. also full sound system. now my question is , is it a good idea to trade or possible sell it and get a nissan sentra spec v? 2002-2003 im not sure what i should do.. the reason im asking is because around my area (bad area) everyone steals hondas and acura. someone tryed to steal myn at least 10 times. n i just dont have the patience to keep dealing with it.. New motor installed on a car at 60k miles? Fishy? This is my first time buying a car. Is it strange that there is a new motor installed in a honda that's fairly new? Like they put a cheaper engine in or something? Is this a good mini-bike engine? So I was browsing threw a magazine and i found this engine. http://www.harborfreight.com/65-hp-horizontal-shaft-overhead-valve-gas-engine-66015.html My current situation is that i have a '63 90cc engine on my minibike. It's a real pain, I just fixed the head gasket and 2 weeks later the carb starts leaking. I took it apart and washed all the parts inside the carb, reassembled it and it still leaks. Something is wrong with the float. Not only that but the acceleration is WEAKSAUCE! To buy a new clutch and carb rebuild kit, it would cost me around $60. So today i found this engine, and golly it looks beautiful! 6.5 hp! 196 CC!!!!! The price is amazing and it will only cost $13 to ship!!!! The specs and price are right, but does anybody have any firsthand experience with this engine or the brand of this engine? What our the communities opinions on it?? mod 92 accord EX 4Door or not? so heres the thing,my 92 gsr got impounded its gonna cost me 800 2 get it out.i've got a 92 accord EX and im wondering which of these 2 is worth modding, the acuras alreddy got intake,exhaust,headers,cams,racing chip,coilovers,strut bar,stage 2 clutch,and short shifter and the car is finished off in pearl white with 2 5 spoke flat black rims(the other 2 cracked) the accord i plan on swappin out the engine for an h22 or sumthin,its got coilovers,headers,exhaust and intake( i know,that nothing) and sum1 is sellin a 92 prelude the specs:92 honda prelude 5 speed with sun roof ,body kit, 16in rims new back tires, lowered two inches, v2 cold air intake AEM fuel rail, headers with heat rap and full exhaust, full sound system. asking $3500.of the 3 which 1 am i gonna get the most out of?
