I would like to build my own RC Electric car, what companies make kits? I've been looking for a RC Electric car kit and i can't seem to find any company that makes the kit that are not already built. I would like to buy a kit that I assemble myself. Please let me know what companies offer this.

I want to teach my son how a gearbox works, and a differential and other aspects of motor engineering such as how suspension works etc. I figured we could build a model kit together, so long as it encompasses actually building these components. Electric drift rc car building checklist??? I'm planning on building my own electric rc drift car using a kit from yokomo. the kit includes parts for a full chassis, wheels, tires, and a body. it requires i purchase a radio system, sub c type 7.2v battery, and a motor. I've got most of the parts i would like picked out but i was wondering if someone knew of a website or something that has a checklist of all parts required to construct a complete rc car? I have a pretty good idea but when i was looking into batteries, i noticed you have to get a certain type of connector to match something (different brands were listed), so do you have get a switch and connector that on the "IN" end hooks up to your battery and the "OUT" end is made to fit in certain brands of recievers? Yo, what type of plastic is a cheap radio shack RC car made of? The answer is needed to faciltate the repair of a front end part with epoxy of some kind. don't answer if you're going to tell me to throw it awayand buy some spankable new kit deal.Because I don't have 100-200 dollars to pee away an mail order crap. RC Car Battery Help and ESC? I have a HPI E10 Drift, and I want a Tamiya Lunch Box Kit. I have 3 Questions here. My first question is do I need an ESC to make it work? Because it's £10 less without one. My second question is that I already have a remote control, servos, batteries and a charger, so do I need to buy more? Because I would gladly keep swapping parts to save money. Finally, what's the difference between a HPI and a Tamiya battery connector? Because I don't want to have to buy a new battery. Need some help with my teenager brother? I have a brother that is turning 18 yo. I am 25 yo. I graduated from a top university with honors and is currently working as a electrical engineer and a real estate agent on the side. Although I have a busy schedule, I always make time for my brother. He is one of the most important people to me in life. I take him out to dinners every thursday and hang out with him on the weekends. He likes to build things with his hands so I always get him things like radio kits, Lego Robots, RC cars to build and he has a lot of fun with that. I also take him on mini trips as well and he really enjoys that. I also started a college fund for him because I want him to have a good education and not to be buried in college debt when he graduates. I know when you're a teenager you go through a lot of changes. Recently, my brother got his ears pierced and has decided not to go to his high school graduation. I was a little disappointed but I respect his decision. People tell me that he really looks up to me. I never really thought too much about that. I just try to give as much as I can to him because I really love him. I always tell him I am very proud of him and no matter what I will always be there to support him. I try to encourage him to dream and to find a passion in life because he's really smart and has a lot of potential to succeed in life. But sometimes, I feel like I am too hard on him because I want him to do well. Although I am not that old yet, I sort of forgot what it was like being a teenager. Sometimes I feel like I am not understanding enough and can end up getting mad at my brother for things that are not that important to him but are important to me. I really don't like to get mad at him, because it always really hurts me to see him sad and quiet after I get mad at him. I would like some support and some advice on how to be a better brother for this supposedly "crazy" time in his life. Thank you!

How can I remove two tiny screws with torn/riped cross heads? I have been making a RC nitro car with a kit I have, and am trying to fit a new silencer to the engine. To do so I need to remove two screws from the original silencer to take it off, but the two screws have torn heads, and are in very tight. The screw heads are ony 2-3mm as well. How can I take the screws out? When I say they have torn heads, I dont mean the heads have come off, I mean the crosshead indent has been ripped into a circle due to my other attempts to take it out with a screw driver.

Can someone please list the kit required to make an rc plane? Basically, I want to make a small plane RC'd. I am looking in terms of maybe a 0.33cc glow engine I guess, but have only just started my research Some insight for a pro would be very useful. I would like it make a very small rc plane and am very tech (studying for a physics degree and my father is a design tech teacher, who has taught me a lot). Plus I have qualifications in car mechanics and welding, so although I don't know much about rc planes now, it should be well within my grasp to learn fast (I hope)! Car sound system. I bought a Pioneer cd player.? I bought a Pioneer cd player wich gives 4x 19w rms. I bought a Subwoofer pack with amp and amp wiring kit included. I will plug the Amp to the RC wires on the cd player. So now I have 4 channels remaining coming from the cd player. I bought (2) 100w speakers for the front of the car. And I was thinking about (2) 400w for the rear. Is this going to be working? Since the output on the cdplayer is only 19w rms? I also bought tweeter's. Where could I plug them in ? Tanks.

Making Hydrogen for the H-cell? I'm planning to buy the H-cell kit. http://www.horizonfuelcell.com/store/h_cell.htm I understand that I'll need the Tamiya TT-01 XB RC car first, but how would I produce fuel for this kit? The brochure says that it does not include a generator to produce fuel. I've seen videos and read instructions for simple generators and I understand electrolysis but the H-cell holds 30liters of fuel, but most of the systems I've seen produce only a few ounces at a time.

Easy questions concerning electrical engineering!? So I've built some amplifiers (voltage amplifiers). Where do I attach them on my battlebot, with is built out of the base of a RC car? I also have the HPI Hellfire which is my basher i just take that thing and blow it to peice's and the other thing which is addicting are those little XMODS i actually have 9, 2 06 mustangs, 1 firebird, 2 lifted f-150's, 2 camaros modded to be on the EVO chassis, a G35, and EVO. All the cars have all radioshack mods, bearings, lights, engine, suspension, all wheel drive, rims, tires, drifting kit, wild body, and lithium batteries. I got a nice setup but it my hobbies too, i got a track for in my garage. Anyone else on here got a savage or anything?

How to get a lawyer to stop bothering me about my ‘Confederate boat’? First of all, my “Confederate boat” is actually a 1/96th scale RC model of the Confederate Ironclad ram ‘Palmetto State’ which I built to accompany (and do battle with) the Union ships ‘Monadnock’ (complete) and ‘Monitor’ (currently under construction). Since there are no suitable public ponds in my town, I bring the Monadnock and now that she is complete, the Palmetto State, to a pond in the public park of a neighboring town where several other model boat builders also run their creations. In short, I have a lawyer who lives at the other side of the pond attempting to use the legal system to harass me while I attempt to run my boat on the lake and want to know how to stop him… The details go like this… While at the pond, I am regularly approached by people, children especially, who have questions about the models and have no problem answering their questions. Two boys began asking me questions about both vessels and I attempted to answer all their questions to their satisfaction. Apparently, the boys initially believed that the ‘Palmetto State’ was a Puerto Rican ship due to the fact that, like the prototype, it only flies the Confederate naval jack (which closely resembles the flag of Puerto Rico) and NOT the Stars and Bars. I corrected them on this fact and it didn’t seem to bother them in the least. About an hour latter, they returned with their father and began begging him to buy them one of these models, pointing out that the “Puerto Rican one” was their favorite. I pointed out to the father that these boats only came as kits, that the kits required a lot of time and modeling expertise to construct, these kits are expensive (starting at $500 without running gear), and that, if his kids are interested in model boating that they start out with one of many more reasonable models and work up from there. I also corrected his son in pointing out that Palmetto State was a Confederate ship and the Monadnock was a Union vessel. Upon learning that one of the vessels was Confederate, the father proceeded to begin a diatribe in which he called me a racist and told me that I was responsible for lynching. When he (thankfully) ran out of oxygen and had to stop, I told him that both models were historically accurate and pointed out that these was not a single Confederate battle flag to be found on either model. He seemed to ignore this and told me that he was a lawyer, member of the ACLU and that he was going to “shut me down” before storming off to his house on the other side of the pond. Half an hour latter, two squad cars arrived and the police told me that I’d have to leave. When I asked why, they told me that I had been bothering someone in the community. I told them I had done nothing of the such and they went back to the lawyers house, talked with him for a while and then came back, claiming that I needed a “permit” to display the Confederate flag in public. I then pointed out that I had no Confederate flag and they once again walked back to the lawyer’s house. In the mean time, I had expended my batteries, packed up my models and left. The next week, I returned to the park on Sunday, as I always do, this time with a model of a US WWII era destroyer, the USS Abbot and, once again the police arrived looking for some non-existent Confederate flag. Not finding one, they returned to the lawyers house and I could see him looking at me with binoculars. Finally, last week, he again had the cops pay me a visit, this time claiming that the lawyer thinks the pond is a goose sanctuary and that he wants them to keep me out until he can determine if this is true. With this, I asked the cops for their names, badge numbers and the names of their supervisors and they quickly scurried away. I sincerely feel that this amounts to harassment and I want it to stop and to be able to use a public park in peace. Is there anything I can do to stop this lawyer from filing these frivolous complaints (such as calling the bar and alerting them to his dishonorable conduct and abuse of the law)???
