I want to get a body kit for it, but I have only found one for this specific year and it is 1500 bucks...a little steep since i dont have other options. Trying to put a body kit on my 99 pontiac sunfire...? Okay, I've got the front bumper off but the original bumper has a thin plastic L shape bracket that holds the original bumper in place near the wheel well. The NEW bumper, of course has the same L shape design, however there is NO place to put the L bracket on to the new bumper. I realize I have to drill holes in the proper places. This L bracket has two screws on the top of the L and one on the bottom to hold the sides of the bumper in place. The problem is the L bracket has small sections that stick out that forms to fit the original bumper perfectly. However these bumps do NOT fit up on the NEW bumper. Do I NEED this bracket or can I use washers to act as a spacer instead?

Is It Worth Putting a $1,500 Body Kit On A 85 Trans Am? I own a 1985 Pontiac Trans Am and im thinking about buying a body kit for it. The trans am now has a front bumper that has a hole in it and is a little smashed up. I have it covered up with a bra but I want to get rid of the bra because it doesn't look that good. Overall I purchased the car for $2,500 and it now has 120 k miles on it. The only body kit that i can find is going to cost me around $1,500 to $2,000. Remanufactured Body Parts? Hello, I have a 1974 Pontiac GTO, and I have a few questions about finding parts and finding body kits. The body on it is fairly good, but there are some parts on it I would like to fix. Some of these areas include above the tail lights where the trunk lid sits on is rusty, some areas around the doors and hood are a little bad. I was wondering if anyone knew where to find parts for this car, since everywhere I look I can only find parts for 64-73 and I dont konw why. Considering buying an '88 Pontiac Fiero GT? The owner is selling it for 1,850 obo. the front window has a huge crack running through it. the fabric upholstery is a bit tattered. the body kit has scraps and small pieces missing, like part of the spoiler attached to the car. i'm not car savvy, but the owner lists that it has "new ignition system, new cooling system,new brakes, alloy wheels, performance clutch, AM/FM/CD, alarm system." and that is runs and drives great. also that it's owned by a mechanic. i've done some research, and found out that the fiero has it shares of problems. but would it be too much to handle if you don't know much about cars? also, what would be a fair price to ask for and how many mileage should i hoping for? oh, and what else should i be aware of?

First Car Help.? Alright, so the story is, me and my Dad went halves in to a 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer. Now it's a nice car, with a body kit, a muffler, and it's been lowered, however I am realizing that it is too low to perform simple tasks, and it had become quite a hassle. I am close to in love with early 1980-era Pontiac Firebirds and Chevrolet Camaros, however, these are very rare in Australia, and the ones I do find, are already restored thus making them extremely expensive. I was wondering if anyone knew of a car of a similar body style/shape that would be a bit cheaper for me? Once again it is a first car, and I realize that it will probably get damaged at some point, but I am not really interested in the whole Japanese tuner scene.
